Las Tablas is a theatrical space with a multitude of possibilities and offerings. It opened its doors four years ago and currently has become one of the top entertainment places in the capital.
The strong principal offering at Las Tablas is the flamenco spectacle that begins nightly at 10:30 p.m. On many days, after the act, there is a Jazz session, but to be sure, we suggest checking the website beforehand to see the schedule of acts. They also offer showings of independent films with free entrance during the cinema season. Recently they showed a season of flamenco films with a discussion between those who were there and film directors. They even have a theater for children.
The place is composed of a bunch of tables and chairs and benches, a bar, and an ample stage. The audience that comes is varied, just like the acts that are performed that day. It is logical that on the days when flamenco is performed, there are a lot of tourists. Las Tablas is a little bit hidden. It is found in the corner of the Plaza de España and the Cuesta de San Vicente, just as if you were coming from the Paseo de Pintor Rosales towards Bailén, but under the bridge.
