If you talk with someone who lived in Madrid fifty years ago, they would tell you that the Museo Chicote was the most fashionable bar in town where many Hollywood stars came to when they visited Spain.  In a way it is still happening to this day.  The evidence of that can be seen in the numerous photos that are hung on the walls just as you enter.

It is a very pleasant place that has, through the years, been slightly modernized, but without loosing the retro feeling that characterizes it.  Famous for its cocktails and glamorous high class clientele, if you are close to Gran Vía doing some shopping, this is a great place to stop and take a break.
